Guide :Air Tools & Compressors : D51844 Framing Nailer

Remanufactured unit I just purchased a remanufactured d51844 nailer. As soon as I connected it it began to vent all the air out of my tank. I checked the unit out for a while and noticed the plunger (hammer) extended so I pressed it back into place with a thin mtal rod. as soon as I connected the air supply, without hitting the trigger, the plunger again extended. It doesn't fire , but slowy pops out. Is there something I can do, or should I just send it back to the merchant?
