Guide :Air Tools & Compressors : Air Tools & Compressors
Airmaster 15/50 I have just bought a second hand airmaster 15/50 3hp compressor, it's about 12 years old, had little use and has been stood for around 5 or 6 years. I have started it up, it rises to about 150psi then switches off. straight away it loses 50psi through the pressure valve,so it drops to 100psi, I can then use it but when the motor tries to start again when the pressure drops, I can hear the electric motor kick in,but it can't turn the compressor and the fuse blows in the 13amp plug, I have removed the drive belt changed the fuse and the electric motor works fine, but the big wheel on the compressor is quite hard to turn, also if I push the red button down on the pressure valve to swith it off, it just releases air pressure through the valve, any ideas??? Cheers Dave.
